The day  Joe Biden was inaugurated, he halted the construction of the border wall and began enacting a series of policies to incentivize historically massive levels of illegal immigration. Since January 20, 2021, over 6 Million illegal migrants have crossed into our nation’s borders from over 160 countries, including at least 1.2 Million known “got-aways,” and 182+ individuals on the terror watch list.

Our open southern border also acts as a freeway for fentanyl into American cities and towns. According to the NIH, 70,601 Americans died from fentanyl poisoning in 2021 alone, a 25% increase from 2020.

House-passed H.R. 2 border security package includes these major provisions:

  • Blocking funds to transport aliens unlawfully present into the interior of the country.
  • Halting funding to use the CBP One Application or any equivalent application to parole aliens into the U.S.
  • Prohibiting funding to issue employment authorization documents to aliens whose asylum applications have been denied or who have been convicted of a crime pending an application.
  • Prohibiting funding to dismantle or remove any section of the border wall, except to repair or replace portions of the barrier.
  • Blocking U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s policy to restrict law enforcement from to pursuing suspects, like human traffickers and drug cartel members, at high speeds.
  • Prohibiting funding to execute Secretary Mayorkas’s “prosecutorial discretion” policies that require law enforcement officers to only prioritize immigration actions to remove aliens illegally present in the United States if they pose a threat to national security, public safety, or border security.
  • Mayorkas’ policy states that an alien being present illegally is not sufficient grounds for removal!
  • Terminating funding to implement Secretary Mayorkas’s order to allow asylum officers, rather than Immigration Judges, to adjudicate asylum claims.
  • Blocking funding to Secretary Mayorkas’s order to undermine the Trump Administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy by creating loopholes to federal asylum policy, allowing unaccompanied children to cross the border, and offering parole to thousands of migrants each month.
  • Prohibiting funding to release aliens who have applied for asylum and are awaiting a hearing.
  • While waiting, they must be detained or removed to a safe third country.
  • Those found not to have a valid asylum claim are required to be removed.
