We Defeated Senate Bill 1! But Sen. Schumer is not done — Fight on
On May 11th, Senate Bill 1 deadlocked 9-9 in the Senate Rules Committee. A bill which deadlocks fails to pass out of committee, and it dies. Your efforts to spread the word about SB1, and the outcry to your senators was critical in defeating this horrible power grab by D.C. Democrats. You didn’t hear about this Democrat defeat in the press, did you?
But Senator Schumer has another bill up his sleeve — Senate Bill 4. SB4 “re-authorizes” the Voting Rights Act which was never repealed. However its onerous requirement that former confederate states have their voting laws approved by the U.S. Department of Justice was struck down by the Supreme Court in 2014. Now comes SB4, which requires that ALL 50 States must have any and all voting laws approved by the DOJ! Yes, the Democrats are still about controlling all voting by Washington, D.C. instead of by the states where control constitutionally belongs.
You know what the Biden DOJ will block: voter ID, cleaning up voter rolls, eliminating voter fraud, eliminating illegal voting, removing outside influence at polling places, redistricting.
Start calling your senators and demand that they oppose Senate Bill 4. Start passing the word among your friends and neighbors that the scoundrels in the Senate are at it AGAIN!
