- SCHOOL BOARD MEETING: A Special meeting has been called for this Thursday, Sept. 2, 5:30 PM. We have been trying to learn the reason for the special meeting but we get no information. No information posted on the site except for a pop-up that sometimes doesn’t pop, and no details. What is going on!? Regularly scheduled meeting is Sept. 9, 5:30 PM, 911 Andrews St., Murphy next to Wayne’s Feed Store. (828) 837-2722.

Show up to these meetings, and speak, call, FB, email your thoughts to the Superintendent. We need to stand up for our kids and grand-kids! Keep masks as a parent’s choice, keep schools open for in-school learning, keep critical race theory out of our schools. Right now, masks are parent’s choice but that can change at anytime if we do not demand it from the school board. We need to show up in numbers!
2. MAN the CITIZENS FOR A BETTER AMERICA TABLE AT FRIDAY ART WALK: Sept 3rd, we need members to take a one hour shift from 5-8pm in the Murphy Square. Join us to meet and energize your fellow citizens, it’s easy, folks are friendly, and you just speak your heart. We setup at the “Constitution Corner”. 3. BIG ENERGY SHIFT! Dozens of members of the GOP mainstream have called for Mr. Biden’s resignation or impeachment! Check out the 25th amendment, Section 4. We all need to get on that train! Call your representatives and Senators to tell them you support removal of Mr. Biden, post it all over social media, Write letters to the editors of the newspapers. Flyer linked “Here’s What You Can Do”.
RALLY/PROTEST-Downtown Murphy Square (sidewalks only), Saturday, Sept. 11th, 10AM-NOON, (Patriots Day), Peacefully and patriotically, bring your flags & signs such as “Impeach Biden”, “Biden must go”, “NO MORE!” ….you get the picture! We need a large group to make this effective, spread the word & bring a friend. Let’s do this! This is pending approval of the permit that Citizens for a Better America leadership has filed with the city of Murphy.
- CITY COUNCIL MEETING – Meetings are scheduled First Monday of each month (if holiday, it will be the next Monday). Next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 13. 5:00 PM, at City Hall, 5 Wofford St., downtown Murphy, (828) 837-2510.

Optional food offering for our group will be honey mustard or smothered chicken or hamburger steak, will include mash potatoes, green beans & roll. Price $13.75 per person paid by attendee (includes tax & gratuity, drink separate). The flyer is linked to share.
We need to be STRONGER, BOLDER, LOUDER! We need to flood the offices of our representatives with phone calls and show up, in numbers, at these meetings. This is how we make a difference!
